New Custom Fridge and Freezer Brochure Launched at Dusseldorf Boat Show

Penguin Refrigeration Custom Fridge forms key part of the UK Marine Industry German Show Case

The Bristish Marine Federation displayed a Penguin Frigoboat Superyacht 2 door custom fridge freezer on their showcase stand. Polished stainless steel interior with LED lighting and glass fronted doors the Penguin custom fridge generated lots of interest from the German Superyacht interior designers and fit out specialists at the show.

Penguin’s speciality in providing one off bespoke solutions for galley, entertainment and VIP fridges, freezers and ice machines was fills a really specialist niche in the market. “We had several potential customers who were really excited at the prospect of a specialist company able to help design, specify and advise on the fridge and freezer requirements they want to integrate and often conceal in their Superyachts immaculate interior” commented Penguin Refrigeration’s Commercial Director Zeb Elliott. “It is great to be able to have the answers to their custom fridge challenges.”

Penguin’s new brochure has details and examples of the varied products that Penguin have delivered over the past two years. Air cooled and water cooled large capacity galley fridge freezers have become Penguin’s specialiality often delivering up to 50% more capacity than the standard domestic or commecial units they replace. What Penguin are less well know for are their water cooled cold rooms, under floor freezers, cockpit and wet bar fridges and integrated VIP guest minibars and champagne fridges. The new brochure has examples of all this and more.

Also on display will be the latest Marine Air Conditioning products from Climma including the new Compact 3.5 unit and the excellent MK3 digital controller. Climma is manufactured exclusively in Italy by Veco, who produce an extensive range of marine air conditioning products from the smallest stand alone Compact 3.5, suitable for a small sleeping cabin (i.e. a V berth on a 34 foot sailboat) to the Chorus chillers for superyachts of 50m and upwards. Throughout the range the product is carefully engineered to deliver quiet, efficient cooling and air conditioning solutions using the best quality components within the most compact configuration possible. Recent additions to the Climma range include the new Aquacool chillers and ‘dry pan’ fan coils.

Penguin Refrigeration move to larger premises in Havant

Penguin Refrigeration move to new, larger premises in Havant, Hampshire.

The new facility will allow Penguin to further develop their refrigeration and air conditioning products and services supplied to the marine, superyacht, motorhome and caravan industries.

The new HQ at Unit 2B Alexandria Park, has more than doubled both their office and warehousing/production capacity. The move did not come a moment too soon as the old warehouse was full to busting with stock, taking more than three articulated lorries to move the bulk of Penguins fridge, freezer and air conditioning products the short distance from their old premises to the new site in South Havant.

Crucially the additional office space will provide Penguin with the opportunity to develop a full design office with aftersales service and support for the increasing sales of their luxury and superyacht ranges. The additional warehousing and workshop space also ensures Penguin continue to maintain high levels of stock for their core marine and vehicle products on which the business is built.

Penguin Refrigeration has joined forces with Italian manufacturers Veco to produce a new, refined range of custom refrigeration solutions for the Global Superyacht and Megayacht market. Designed to fit seamlessly into the unique interior of each individual Yacht, Penguin Superyacht Refrigeration covers all aspects of refrigeration on-board from cold stores and galley fridges, to bespoke wet bars and guest cabin minibars.

As Veco’s sole UK Distributor for more than 10 years, Penguin has a very close relationship with their Italian manufacturers and a proven track record with the UK’s leading yards for designing, commissioning and supporting custom refrigeration. Over the past 18 months Penguin have produced custom refrigeration solutions for both refits and new builds at Pendennis, Palmer Johnson and most recently have just commissioned the refrigeration for Oyster’s new 115 at RMK Turkey.
