100ft SAILING YACHT GALLEY FRIDGE FREEZER AND UNDERFLOOR FREEZER REFIT
Custom-built bespoke fridge freezer and underfloor freezer designed and built to maximise capacity in the galley delivering a 50% increase on the original equipment
Client required increased capacity of both fridge and freezer in the restricted galley of this classic sailing yacht. Penguin designed a new stainless steel custom yacht fridge freezer for the galley plus an additional underfloor freezer providing a 50% increase in capacity.
4 Door Bespoke Galley Fridge Freezer 850 litre capacity featuring:
- Exterior styling required was brushed stainless steel square edge doors with slam latch catches
- Polished stainless interiors making it easy to maintain and stain resistant
- Two fridge compartments with separate temperature controls, internal LED lighting and air circulation fans
- Height adjustable internal grill shelves in the fridges coupled with fiddle upstands to keep contents secure when at sea
- Internal stainless steel drawers were used in the freezer compartments
- Door retaining stays to keep doors secure when boat is under way
- Stainless steel bottle holders on the fridge doors for large milk and drink storage
- Heated door seals – to prevent condensation around the seals
- Drain sumps designed to ensure any water or condensation in the cabinet always drains away – even when the boat is heeling when sailing
Underfloor Freezer 411 litre capacity featuring:
- Added additional freezer capacity by utilising under floor bilge space
- Hinged on floor with gas struts to support the weight of the door when open
- Polished stainless interiors which is easy to maintain and stain resistant
- Internal storage baskets designed to optimise the internal space
- Heated door seals – to prevent condensation around the seals

- Temperature control by digital thermostat
- Powered by 240 volt water cooled compressors
- Condensing units
- Pump 1 and Pump 2 back-up
- Sea water strainers
- Dryers with self-sealing couplings
- Optional back-up pipes

- Solenoid valve
- Pipe connections
The brushed stainless steel finish complements the minimalist cream galley interior.
