Bespoke fridge for 35m Motor Yacht
Fully integrated stainless steel bespoke fridge for the sky deck wet bar providing a perfectly chilled and discrete drinks storage cabinet.
Client required a chilled drinks storage cabinet on the sky deck wet bar of their 35M motor yacht to give easily accessible cold drinks for their guests onboard. A key factor was ensuring their drinks were always perfectly chilled so the fridge needed to be very efficient and able to operate in very high ambient conditions.
Penguin supplied a Frigoboat MS130 cabinets with a large capacity Capri air cooled compressor – we also worked with the engineer onboard to improve the ventilation through the wet bar to ensure the condensers worked as efficiently as possible. The fridge cabinet was set behind the wet bar cabinet doors using sliding hinge kits to open and close, with additional internal grab catches to prevent them from opening when the boat was at sea. This ensured the fridge was discrete yet delivered quick and convenient access for drinks and refreshments for the guests onboard.
Fully integrated, 130 litre capacity integral custom wet bar fridge featuring:
- Well insulated cabinet with 50mm insulation throughout for greatest efficiency
- High capacity tropical condensing sets capable of achieving and maintaining +4 in the fridges even in 40C ambient
- Brushed stainless exterior in 316 marine grade stainless steel with sliding hinge kit to integrate with cabinet door
- Polished stainless interiors which is easy to maintain and stain resistant
- Heated door seals – to prevent condensation around the seals
- Internal LED lighting
- Stainless steel bottle and can holders on the fridge doors
- Height adjustable internal grill shelves and/or wine shelves
- Temperature control by internal thermostat from +0C – +10C
- Drain sumps designed to ensure any water or condensation in the cabinet always drains away
